Living Room / April 9, 2018 / Celine Guajardo.
It’s the room filled with minimalist charm and youthful energy. The combination of wood on the furniture and floor and bricks on the wall looks durable and sturdy. The integrated space is divided by the boundary set by wood used in its natural form. And then there are lamps- single, multiple and then one oversized one to fill the room with light and make a statement of its own. It’s simply mind-blowing!
The décor of the living room is basically to impress our guests or make them envy of your exclusively taste. If the bungalow is huge or it’s a mansion then the décor of the living hall should meet the elegance and enormity of the space. Double-height ceiling scattered with silver lights, golden pieces decorating the wall, tapestry falling from above covering the large windows and simple yet elegant decoration on the floor. Subtle shades all over with just a splash of brightness carefully added here and there are making this hall extraordinarily elegant and luxurious.
It’s tried and tested formula that most designers use, to create an illusion of roominess by strategically placing the mirror in the living room. To create a perfect ambience, place the mirror behind the light source, either a hanging pendant lamps or floor lamps like it is done here. The result will be mesmerizing.
No one said a regular three-seater sofa is a must have for the living room. What you do need is place for your guests to sit comfortably. In a formal living room, replace the sofa with armchairs. For a more informal living room design, you could also throw in beanbags and poufees. A cushioned bench or a daybed will serve you in the same way as a sofa while simultaneously adding a unique touch to your living room. A futon paired with armchairs is another viable alternative to the regular three seater sofa set arrangement. Along with giving our living room a contemporary look, these other pieces of furniture also allows the room to be used as an impromptu guest room to accommodate surprise guests. The picture of this living room above is an example of things can look radically different without the normal sofa set.
