If you have one formal and one casual dining space, you can really go to town with different chair designs for both. A casual spot will do best with sociable, comfy seating that naturally leads to conversation, whereas a formal setting is where you can play around with luxury fabrics. If you only have one dining room, you're going to need to combine all of these elements in one set of chairs, if possible!
Finally, think about how many people you need to comfortably seat on a daily basis, then add a few extra, just in case you are ever hoping to have a fun dinner party. We always think that you should try to accommodate an extra four people and with that knowledge in mind, you can go to town choosing chairs that will easily squeeze into your space and around your table.
One look at this dining arrangement shows how varying ideas and textures can be combined to create an interesting final result. Positioned cleverly near a large, well-lit window, the table is made of roughly hewn wood and solid stainless steel. It holds quirky artifacts and dainty floral arrangements, which lend a hint of freshness to the room. The organic jute carpet, the fashionable steel and leather chairs, and a uniquely adorned feature wall take this dining space to a whole new level.
Wooden chairs, finished with a luxuriously quilted seat cushions, not only look pretty, they are fantastically comfortable as well, making them ideal for both formal and informal dining. The only aspect to be very careful about is the fabric covering the pads, as it will need to be washable. Nobody wants to deal with pesky pesto stains or tomato marks, long-term and family homes always seem to encounter spills.
